What is a Parent Teacher Organization?
A Parent Teacher Organization, or PTO, is a school-based group made up of parents, teachers, and sometimes staff who work together to support the school community. Its purpose is to strengthen the connection between home and school while helping create a better experience for students, families, and educators.

About MCDS PTO
At Montessori Country Day School, our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is where connection and collaboration come to life. The PTO brings families, teachers, and staff together to strengthen the school community and enhance the school campus experience. Every parent is invited to play a part, whether through leadership, committees, or occasional volunteer support, because each contribution helps shape the supportive and engaging environment that makes MCDS so special.
Started by dedicated parents who wanted to give back to the community that has given so much to their families, the MCDS PTO creates friendships, builds connection, and provides opportunities for families to make a lasting impact.
2025-2026 Highlights include:

Launching the first official MCDS PTO.

Creating the school’s first fundraising initiatives.

Partnering with local businesses including 407 BBQ, Buttermilk Sky Pies, Earl’s Pizza, and our Bake Sale.

Helping fund and source new playground equipment.

Supporting the installation of a new garden pathway.

Coordinating the first-ever Spring Clean-Up Day.

Setting up a new volunteer structure with Board roles, Committee Chairs, and Committee Members
Teamwork Makes the Dream Work!
Our MCDS PTO established itself in 2025 and has already accomplished so much. We have built bridges in our Flower Mound community with local businesses, we have brought families together for local events, and have raised funds for school campus improvements.
